How we use it
- To match registered buyers with businesses for sale and contact you about relevant opportunities.
- To evaluate, prepare, market, and complete business sale transactions.
- To provide valuations and respond to inquiries.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.
Sharing
- Seller information is shared with prospective buyers only under signed confidentiality agreements, in stages, as part of a sale process.
- Buyer information is shared with a seller only as needed to advance a transaction the buyer is part of.
- Service providers that process data for us (hosting, CRM, e-signature) are bound to protect it.
- During a transaction, information may be shared under the business-transaction provisions of applicable privacy law, with safeguards and destruction obligations if the deal does not complete.
Storage, retention, and safeguards
Information is stored in systems we control or contract (some providers may store data outside Canada). We keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires, and we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
